I have always had sensitive skin and within the past few years, I’ve begun getting dry patches too. This led me to search for the best lotion for dry and sensitive skin. I’ve found some that work well for me for all my needs that I’m sharing today.
Lotion for Dry Hands
The first lotion I’ve found that has really helped my dry hands is the Cerave Therapeutic Hand Cream. My dermatologist recommended this to me in combination with hydro-cortisone (if the dry patches itch) and it has worked wonders. It is one of the only products that had soothed my skin. I struggle to find this in stores but it’s always available on Amazon. There I usually buy a few tubes at a time.
Lotion for your Face
The next two lotions I’d like to share, I use on my face. One of the products is a repeat from my Top 4 Holy Grail Skincare Products, but it is so good I wanted to share it again. My face isn’t always dry, but I use strong acne products which can sometimes dry it out. When it’s not dry, it is usually sensitive and borderline oily. The Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel have worked to keep my skin nourished without making it too oily. I use the Cetaphil in the morning and the Neutrogena at night. Since using this combination, I haven’t had a single dry patch! These lotions are easier to find in the store, but I often just buy them off Amazon. If I buy them on Amazon I can get them quicker and never run out.
Lotion for Dry and Sensitive Body
Growing up, I hated shaving because every time I shaved my legs were ALWAYS itchy. Even if I used lotion I couldn’t get it to go away. I’ve finally found a solution that surprisingly doesn’t irritate my skin at all! I use the Bath and Body Works Body Cream after every shower all over my body. I know scented products can be intimidating, but the body cream (not the lotion) has never caused issues. Believe me, I’m the queen of sensitive skin and this stuff works! Since it smells good I like using it after every shower. I think that helped with my shaving irritation because my body is always moisturized. This product has to be purchased at Bath and Body Works but in my Beauty on a Budget post I share how to get this product on sale!
I hope you get the chance to try out these lotions and they work for you. I would love to hear about some of your favorite lotions too! Leave any recommendations in the comments below.
