Weekly Wellness
Hi y’all! I’m writing to you with some exciting news. I’m starting a new series on my blog called Weekly Wellness, with today’s first post being about staying hydrated. Lately, I’ve been focusing more on my slogan, “be comfortably you.” I want to make sure everything I do is encompassing that message and my goal; to help YOU be more comfortably you.
With that being said, I got to thinking…part of being comfortable with who you are is taking good care of yourself to feel your best. We can achieve this by focusing on our physical, mental, and emotional health. Putting these things first is one step to help you be comfortably you. For this reason, each week I plan to give a weekly wellness tip to help you take better care of yourself and achieve wellness!

Now onto our first weekly wellness tip…
Staying Hydrated
Here are just 5 of the many benefits of drinking water regularly. I’ve done some research on how much water you should drink daily and I’ve gotten a few different answers. I’ve created a range I think everyone should set as a daily goal.
You should aim to drink 1/2 your body weight to 2/3 your body weight in ounces of water each day.
For example, someone who weighs 140 lbs. should try to drink 70-93 oz. of water each day. If you don’t regularly drink that much water already, starting will be challenging. However, once you’re hydrated, it will become easier and easier each day.
My Surefire Way to Stay Hydrated (EASILY)
This wellness tip may seem obvious but I have been doing this for YEARS and it truly is the easiest way to stay hydrated. When I don’t drink as much water, I do notice a difference in how I feel, my skin, and more. Following this method helps me stay hydrated more often than not!
1. Find your favorite water bottle
First, find a few water bottles you love. The bigger the better – but just find a few you like.

2. Do some studying
Second, find out how many ounces of water that water bottle holds. For each of your favorite bottles, make sure you know the capacity (in ounces). You can convert mL to oz on Google very easily.
3. Find the combo of “water bottles” you need to drink
Lastly, make the combination of “water bottles” that works for you. For our example used earlier, a person can drink TWO 20 oz. Yeti’s and ONE 30 oz. Yeti full of water to reach their minimum goal. If you don’t want to buy multiple water bottles, the 70 oz. goal can be reached with THREE to FOUR 20 oz. Yeti’s. This makes the tracking and drinking SO much easier in my opinion. I find myself reaching my water goal almost daily with this technique.
Like I mentioned before, this may seem obvious, however, not everyone pays attention to the size of their water bottle/how much water they drink a day. Drinking the right amount of water will improve your physical wellness and overall health. I hope you try out my little trick to stay hydrated and it helps you be more comfortably you!
XOXO,
